A Little About Otis Redding

As you're likely aware by now, Otis Redding is my 20 pound ball of fluffy love. I truly believe that he was, in fact, a stuffed animal in his previous life. He likes hugs, sitting in laps, french fries, apples, and toys that squeak. 

Despite these banal interests, Otis Redding is a fairly sophisticated pup. He divides his time barking at the neighbors and squirrels by relaxing with old Russian novels. Here he is with some Dostoyevsky. (Notice that only one of us is distracted by the camera in this photo).

You may have also guessed that Otis Redding is quite soulful as well. If you're not sure about that, please reference the big brown eyes above or his namesake's rendition of "These Arms of Mine." Not surprisingly, this song is also a personal favorite of mine. 

Otis Redding (the singer as well as the dog) is a constant inspiration for me. My dog enjoys almost as many adventures as I do. As you can see, I document these adventures diligently. I've also begun cataloging his experience in a fictional but based in fact children's story that I hope to post for you.
